They said it couldn't be done. That it was impossible. That regardless of experience, skill or determination, there was no feasible way for a car to ever fit into that parking spot in Brisbane's West End. Yet one man stood undeterred in the face of adversity and, on May 4th 2017, maneuvered his faithful 2006 Ford Festiva "Junebug" into that impossible space. Everyone remembers where they were when they first heard the story of Parking Day. Some claim that it's just a myth, an old urban legend told to children to inspire them to dream big. But this page is here to preserve history: Parking Day is real, and it serves as a testament to human perseverance in the face of insurmountable odds.
